About The Dubel Prize

The Dubel Prize is awarded to recognize emerging British artists. The term "British" encompasses artists who primarily work either within Britain or on an international scale.
Interested artists are invited to submit their applications for consideration of the award.
From these submissions, a shortlist of twelve artists is created at the start of each calendar year. These selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their works at individual events hosted by the Dubel Prize.
At the end of the year, an awards ceremony takes place, where a panel of judges consisting of curators, critics, authors, and industry experts from the UK and beyond will choose the emerging artist of the year.
Given the challenges faced by the performing arts in recent years, with multiple lockdowns, social restrictions, and health constraints, the Dubel Prize aims to highlight exceptionally talented artists. Furthermore, our goal is to provide support and assistance to the selected artist throughout the year and beyond.
Artists are encouraged to submit their applications within the next five weeks, starting from July 1. To complete the application, please make sure to include your contact information, attach several pictures showcasing your artwork, and provide a video message here. We look forward to reviewing your submission.
The Panel will undergo a thorough selection process over the course of four weeks to carefully choose 12 artists from among the submitted applications. These selected artists will then proceed to the Dubel Prize shortlist.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a special event at the magnificent Royal Exchange to commemorate the announcement of the 12 shortlisted artists. During this extraordinary occasion, each artist will be introduced and paired with a unique venue to showcase their talent and creativity.
