A Magical Evening at RSA House: Celebrating Dubel Prize Finalist Elizabeth Rhona
What a truly beautiful evening it was at RSA House, as we gathered to celebrate the remarkable talent of Elizabeth Rhona, our final Dubel Prize finalist of 2025.
Based in London, Elizabeth is a visionary artist whose evocative work explores the rich intersections of nature, transformation, and femininity. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was alive with creativity and anticipation. Attendees were welcomed with cocktails and music, setting the perfect tone for an evening dedicated to art, conversation, and celebration.
The venue was transformed into a showcase of Elizabeth’s stunning works — pieces that invite viewers into a world where flora and flesh intertwine, where metamorphosis becomes both subject and symbol. Each guest received a beautifully printed event booklet, thoughtfully produced by our friends at @youloveprint, offering a closer look at Elizabeth’s artistic journey and inspirations.
We were also delighted to welcome Damian Alexander Dubel, founder of the Dubel Prize, whose vision continues to champion and celebrate boundary-pushing contemporary artists. His presence added a special sense of occasion to an already unforgettable night.
A huge thank you as well to our new partner, Regent Security, who provided us with an outstanding security team on the night. Their professionalism and attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the celebration to the fullest.

The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, beginning with a warm welcome from our wonderful host Maria-Rosa, who introduced Elizabeth to the stage. With insight and grace, Elizabeth spoke about the inspirations behind her art — how she draws on the imagery of metamorphosis and the traditions of Grotesque Art to create hybrid beings that blur the boundaries between the human and the natural.
Through symmetry, ornamentation, and transformation, Elizabeth reimagines the female form within Moresque-inspired scenes, exploring the beauty and complexity of the feminine experience. Her flowing, curved motifs — influenced by classical flora — create a dialogue between the organic and the ornamental, capturing life’s powerful dualities of growth and decay.
It was a night filled with admiration, connection, and creativity — a fitting celebration of an artist whose work continues to inspire and challenge.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this special evening. And once again, congratulations to Elizabeth Rhona on being named a finalist for the 2025 Dubel Prize a truly well-deserved recognition of her extraordinary vision and talent.
